Radiation high dose volume, represented by the isodose lines (pink color lines), conform very well to the shape of prostate and seminal vesicles treatment volume (red color). Normal tissues such as bladder (yellow object on top) and rectum (green shape on bottom) are well spared. This normal tissue sparing allows escalation of radiation dose to the prostate safely. For prostate cancer, higher dose improves cure rates.
